First Flight
It is the flight experience considered almost as “mandatory” for any aspiring pilot. The First Flight works as a real initiation to a pilot course, in which the putative student has his first actual contact with the flight in light-weight planes that will be a fundamental part of his training as a pilot.
It allows the candidate to get to know the school and its functioning, especially when it comes to flight operations, and to experience the first sensations of practical learning.
The highlight of the experience is a flight, usually in Cessna 152, lasting approximately 30 minutes, in which, despite being a passenger accompanied by an instructor, you will have the opportunity to experience the controls of an aircraft.
ATPL/CPL/IR: 75€ per exam

EASA Theory Exams Austro Control
Nortávia is approved by Austro Control (Austrian aviation authority) as an EASA theory examination centre. As such we are able to offer exams for ATPL, CPL, IR, EIR-CBIR, PPL and LAPL at our facilities at Vilar de Luz Aerodrome (LPVL), just 20 minutes away from Porto Airport which has direct flights to all Europe.
Typically we offer sittings in January, March, May, July, September and November.

Student for one day
A program tailored to those who want to have a deeper knowledge of the operation of an aircraft, either because they plan to take a flying course or just because they are curious about aviation.
With a total duration of one morning or one afternoon, the student for one day will have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the school. Their experience will begin with a theoretical class that will cover the most operational subjects related to flight, from Aircraft Systems and Structures, Instrument Panel, Aerodynamics, Planning and Air Traffic Control Systems.
This will be followed by an hour-long flight at Cessna 152, where you can apply this knowledge and feel what it is like to fly an aircraft from take-off to landing. All the experience will be accompanied by one of our flight instructors, with extensive knowledge and duly qualified.
At the end of the experience, you will receive a personalized diploma to complete the programme.
